Dr. Honey Yadav was delighted to present her research at the 4th Operations and Supply Chain Management Symposium (IV-OSCM 2026) at the University of Sheffield Management School.

She was excited to be part of two days of stimulating discussions around “Emerging Technologies and Industry 5.0,” which brought together researchers, industry leaders, editors, and practitioners to explore how emerging technologies are transforming operations and supply chains.

As part of the symposium, Dr. Yadav presented her paper on PESTLE analysis, developed as part of the SMART SIP+ project. Her presentation sparked valuable discussions and brainstorming sessions with fellow scholars, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, receive constructive feedback, and explore new research perspectives.

Throughout the event, she engaged with researchers working across AI, emerging technologies, sustainability, resilience, digital transformation, and Industry 5.0.

Dr. Yadav expressed her appreciation to the conference co-chairs, Prof. Francisco Saldanha da Gama and Prof. Tsan-Ming (Jason) Choi, as well as Prof. Jason Wang and the entire organising team for delivering such an engaging and inspiring programme.

She also valued the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers including Prof. Tsan-Ming (Jason) Choi, Prof. Francisco Saldanha da Gama, Prof. S.C. Lenny Koh, Peter Choi, Prof. Hubert Pun, Prof. James Law, Prof. Dmitry Ivanov, and Prof. Alexandre Dolgui. Their insights into resilient and sustainable supply chains, robotics, embedded AI, digital twins, Manufacturing-as-a-Service, Industry 6.0, and OR-AI symbiosis provided plenty of inspiration for future research.

Special appreciation also goes to Dr. Merve Keskin, Dr. Mahnaz Hosseinzadeh, the wider Operations team, and everyone at the University of Sheffield Management School for creating such a welcoming and well-organised symposium.

The event also provided Dr. Yadav with the opportunity to meet fellow researchers, exchange ideas, and discuss potential collaborations with Prof. Indranil Biswas, Prof. Sunil Tiwari, Henry Alterio, Jane Ugbari MBA MSc (CMILT MCIPS CIMA Cert BA), and Dr. Abhi Ghadge, while connecting with a diverse community of scholars including Alka Ranjan, Shima Yekkehbash Heidari, Peiyi (Ivy) Liang, Sahar Gholamali, and Colette Nsofor.

Dr. Yadav was grateful for the opportunity to showcase her work at the University of Sheffield and contribute to such a vibrant academic community.
