Uttam Saha is the Bangladesh Country Manager of Water and Sanitation for Urban Populations (WSUP). He holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He brings over 25 years of professional experience, mostly in WASH, Waste Management and Renewable Energy sector. He is experienced in organizational strategy development, business planning, thematic/ technical input, and programme/ country operations.

He is the focal person from WSUP Bangladesh to SMART SIP project funded by UKRI and implemented by a consortium led by Birmingham City University in UK. He is backstopping WSUP SMART SIP project operation team for demonstration of water purification technology and business models using solar and bio energy. He is actively involved in WASH and Energy sector policy formulation and strategy development and update.
