Rakib is a Civil Engineer with over seven years of experience leading WASH and infrastructure projects in both development and humanitarian contexts. At WSUP Bangladesh, he serves as Technical Specialist and is responsible for managing the SMART-SIP+ research project, which focuses on solar-powered drinking water solutions that leverage excess energy from solar irrigation pumps.

His work focuses on water supply systems, renewable energy integration, and sustainable service delivery models, with particular interest in market-based approaches to expand access to safe drinking water. Rakib holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Management from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering Technology (CUET), and is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
