Sabyasachi Niloy

Sabyasachi Niloy is a young researcher specializing in climate studies, resource management, and climate-smart agricultural systems. He is currently working as a Research Associate in the Department of Farm Power and Machinery, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), under the UKRI–Ayrton Funded project “SMART-SIP+: Innovative Approach to Downstream Energy Utilisation from Solar Irrigation Pumps in Bangladesh.” His work focuses on developing data-driven and remote sensing-based decision support systems for sustainable agricultural management. He completed his M.S. in Irrigation and Water Management from Sylhet Agricultural University in 2023, and his B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering and Technology from the same institution. During his post-graduation study, he worked as a Research Assistant at Sylhet Agricultural University. He got the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship 2022–23Niloy has published several peer-reviewed articles in international journals, including Potato Research, Journal of Water and Climate Change, and Data in Brief, contributing to the fields of machine learning applications in agriculture, groundwater dynamics, and AI-powered aquaculture systems. He has also presented his work at international conferences such as the International Conference on Advanced Agricultural Research (2024) and the International Conference on Water and Flood Management (2023). In addition to his research, he has served as an Adjunct Faculty at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, teaching Agricultural Mechanization, and as a GIS Instructor in multiple workshops across leading agricultural universities in Bangladesh. His technical expertise spans GIS and Remote Sensing, machine learning for spatial and environmental modeling.
